Pro tip, from the book
The best close is the one you use before you think you need to close. When all signals are positive value confirmed, objections handled, timeline agreed ask for the decision. Most salespeople wait for perfect certainty before closing. That certainty rarely arrives. Move when the signals are there.
Who should run this prompt
Module role profileWho should prepare and run your sales conversations? Every stage of a sale requires a different mindset. The person who writes great cold outreach thinks differently from the person who closes enterprise deals. The buyer's procurement officer thinks differently from both. Use internal roles to prepare and execute. Use outside perspectives to find the objections, hesitations, and real decision criteria before they surface in a live conversation.
Choose any role to drop it into the prompt above. Only the highlighted opening clause changes — the rest of the prompt stays exactly as printed.

How to make any role sharper
- Add years of experience: "...with 15 years in enterprise SaaS" produces different depth than just the title.
- Add what they care most about: "You care most about [X]" shapes every word of the output.
- Add their communication style: "Be direct. Flag risks first. No jargon." changes the tone entirely.

How the framework works
From the printed pageClosing is not a single technique it is a set of contextual tools. Different situations require different approaches. The Summary Close (recap all agreed value, then ask for the decision) works when the prospect is convinced but hesitant. The Alternative Close (offer two options, both of which move forward) works when they're stuck on one variable. The Assumptive Close (proceed as if the decision is made, surface any remaining concerns) works when signals are positive. The Question Close (ask what would make them comfortable to proceed) works when the real objection hasn't been named. AI can help you identify which close fits your current deal situation.
The method, in four moves
Do these in orderNever try to close before the prospect has confirmed the value and urgency.
Match the close to the prospect's personality analytical buyers hate assumptive closes.
If the close fails, use it as a diagnostic ask what would need to be true to move forward.
Prepare your close in advance for every meeting don't improvise it. Choose the right close for the right moment, not the only one you know No closing method rescues a conversation where value was never confirmed. If you're reaching for the Alternative Close to escape awkward silence, you're using it as a rescue tool, not a decision tool. Fix the conversation, not the close. Timing Beats Technique

The book prints the framework. This page keeps it — and keeps the prompt current, because prompting technique moves faster than print does. When it moves, this page is rewritten and the code in your copy keeps pointing at it. No second edition, no replacement purchase, no account.
If something here looks wrong — a prompt that does not match its framework, a figure that reads oddly — tell Raphy. That correction reaches every printed copy at once.
